Berglind Alda Ástþórsdóttir

Berglind Alda Ástþórsdóttir is an Icelandic actress born in 1999. She studies acting at the University of the Arts in Iceland. She will graduate with a Bachelor of Arts in Acting in the spring of 2024.

Berglind is best known for her role as Lilja in the hit series Venjulegt Fólk 4. She has also made her mark in Áramótaskaupið (2019-2021), which is RÚV’s annual comedy special and the most popular program on Icelandic TV. Alongside Mikael Emil Kaaber, Berglind wrote and starred in Krakkaskaupið (2019-2021), which is RÚV’s annual comedy special for kids. Krakkaskaupið received two nominations and won the ‘Children and Family Show of the Year’ in 2020 at Sögur Kids’ Choice Awards. Today, Berglind and Mikael co-host the popular quiz show, Krakkakviss, on Channel 2.

In high school, Berglind took part in many musicals and plays. After graduating, Berglind co-wrote and starred in the successful play Fyrsta Skiptið (e. My First) in 2018 with five other young artists. Fyrsta Skiptið was on the national newspapers shortlist as the ‘Best Play of the Year.’ The play was televised by Sjónvarp Símans in 2020 and later bought by a British theater. 
After Fyrsta Skiptið, Berglind continued to make her mark in the theater. She was in a leading role in the highly praised play Ðe Lónlí Blú Bojs (2019), and she also starred and co-wrote the successful musical Hlið við Hlið (2021).
