Ebba Katrín Finnsdóttir

Ebba graduated from the Icelandic Academy of the Arts in 2018. At the Academy of the Arts, she participated in various drama-related projects in addition to her studies.
Just before graduating from IAA Ebba was offered a contract in the City Theater where she played Emma in Dúkkuheimili, 2.hluti (A Doll´s House – Part 2), Marína and Woman 1 in NÚNA 2019 (NOW 2019), Ophelia and Laertes in Hamlet Litli (Little Hamlet) and Phelps in Matthildur (Mathilda The Musical).
For the past three years Ebba has worked at the National Theater and now has a permanent contract. Her first project in the National Theater was Ugla, the leading role in ATÓMSTÖÐIN (The Atom Station) directed by Una Þorleifsdóttir. Among other roles she has taken on are Juliet in Rómeó & Júlía (Romeo and Juliet), ensamble in Ást & Upplýsingar (Love and Information) and Korovief in Meistarinn og Margaríta (The Master and Margarita).
Ebba played one of the leading roles in the two-part miniseries Mannasiðir (Manners) by Maria Reyndal, which was voted best-selling TV show on Eddan 2019. She also starred in the film Agnes Joy, the short film Samræmi, the TV-series Venjulegt Fólk 2 & 3 (Ordinary People 2 & 3), Áramótaskaupið (Year 2019, 2020 and 2021 TV show) among tv commercials. Ebba has done voice-work for TV commercials and radio plays.

The Icelandic Theatre Award (Gríman) as the actress of the year 2020 for her role Ugla in The Atom Station.
