Elísabet is a genderqueer actor. They graduated in 2018 with a B.A. in acting from the Iceland Academy of the Arts. Elísabet, or Beta as they are often called, also graduated with a diploma in contemporary dance and ballet from the Iceland Dance Academy in 2014.
Prior to enrolling in the Iceland Academy of the Arts they participated in three big productions at the Reykjavík City Theatre as a part of an ensemble in Wizard of Oz, Mary Poppins and Billy Elliot. Beta played the part of ballet dancer Unnur in Baldvin Z’s CASE (Stöð 2, Netflix) in 2015 and the leading role Una in the short film Þula in 2014 which premiered at Reykjavík International Film Festival (RIFF) in 2019 and won Best Short at the Frostbiter Festival in 2021. They also appeared in a sketch for HBO’s Last Week Tonight with John Oliver in 2018.
After graduating Beta played Baldur in the play A Lecture on Something Beautiful, Karíus in Karíus & Baktus and Mona in the children’s play The Tree. The two latter shows both received nomination at the Icelandic Theatre Awards for Children’s Show Of The Year in 2020 and 2021
