Eygló Hilmarsdóttir is an actress born in 1992. She graduated with B.A. degree in acting from LHÍ, The Icelandic University of the Arts, in 2018. Eygló has worked on various roles in theater, television and film. Her biggest stage role is Helena in A Midsummer Nights’ Dream in the National Theater of Iceland 2019. She is a member of the comedy group Kanarí that is currently working on a comedy sketch series for RÚV, The Icelandic Broadcasting Service. Kanarí will also premier a live sketch show in The National Theater’s Comedy Cellar in 2021. Eygló read seven books in the fantasy book series Galdrameistarin by Margit Sandemo for Storytel and has been the brand voice of Sóley Organics skincare company since 2016. Before graduation Eygló wrote and starred in the stage comedy Konubörn in 2015 and played the role of Halla in the film Gauragangur 2010.
Eygló lives in Reykjavík with her life partner, twin daughters and step daughter.
