Jakob van Oosterhout (1997) is an Icelandic/Dutch actor, based in Reykjavik, Iceland. He graduated from the Iceland University of the Arts with a BA degree in acting in 2024. His recent projects include the films Greenland: Migration and When the Light Breaks as well as the television series The Darkness and Felix and Klara. In the upcoming theatre season, he will perform in the musical Stormur at the National Theatre of Iceland written by Unnur Ösp Stefánsdóttir and Una Torfa.
Jakob is a trumpet player and also has extensive singing experience. He has a background in gymnastics and dance and has completed the BADC (British Academy of Dramatic Combat) foundation course in stage combat.
In addition to stage and film projects, Jakob has worked considerably in audiobook narration and voice acting.
Jakob is fluent in Icelandic, Dutch, English, and Danish.
