Saga Garðarsdóttir was born in Reykjavík in 1987. She graduated from The Iceland Academy of the Arts as an actress in 2012. Since then she has both worked for the Reykjavik City Theatre and the National Theatre of Iceland. She has written and performed both for stage and television and was on the writers team which won the the annual Icelandic film awards as comedy show of the year in 2017. Saga has acted in TV series in Iceland as well as the movies Bakk and Woman at War. Saga is one of Iceland’s most popular stand-up comedians and furthermore performs regularly with Improv Iceland, which stage weekly improvised comedy shows at the National Theatre.
