Álfrún Laufeyjardóttir

Icelandic-born Álfrún was raised in the theatre and on film sets. She started her career as a child actress doing commercials and short films, before quickly graduating to her first roles in feature films. In her teens, Álfrún studied drama a Performing Arts High School in Boulder, Colorado – and she participated in multiple theatre productions during her time there. Her television credits include the crime drama CASE, and the mini-series MANNERS by writer María Reyndal, in which she played the role of TINNA. Previous film work includes: the character of ‘Helga’ in the highly regarded drama LET ME FALL which was directed by Baldvin Zophoníasson – and which was a huge success at the Icelandic box office; DEAD SNOW 2 by Tommy Wirkola; ICELAND IS BEST by writer/director Max Newsom; and as ‘Alda’ in the critically-acclaimed Icelandic feature film AGNES JOY which is directed by Silja Hauksdóttir. Álfrún can next be seen playing a key role in Netflix & MGM’s upcoming epic series VIKINGS: VALHALLA.
