Anita Briem

Aníta began her career at 9 at the Icelandic National Theatre where she acted throughout her childhood. At 16 she moved to London where she trained at The Royal Academy of Dramatic Art earning the John Barton award. 
 
After her training, she worked with Mike Figgis at the London National Theatre and starred in the dark comedy “Losing Louis” which had a successful West End run. She then headed to America when she was hired by ABC to play “Emily Stevens” in the tv series “The Evidence” alongside Martin Landau. 
Her major film and television credits include “Hannah” in “Journey to the Center of the Earth” (which she starred in alongside Brendan Fraser), “Jane Seymour” in “The Tudors” (for Showtime), “Dylan Dog” and most recently “The Minister”, an Icelandic drama series where she co-stars with Ólafur Darri Ólafsson (Trapped) which was nominated for both a Prix Europa award and a The Venice TV Award and is about to go into world wide distribution. 
She has 3 upcoming Nordic films next year:
